Village of Eagle Ordinances
The Village Board has approved New Ordinances:
13.04.070 Fire Hydrants to be Kept Clear
The owner or owner’s agent of any property upon which any fire hydrant is located, shall be kept clear of snow and ice no later than a period of 24hrs. There shall be a 3 ft. clearance around the fire hydrant.
808.08.035 Junk on Private Property
"Junk" shall mean and include, but not be limited to, any of the following items when kept or store outdoors on any premises in a manner "visible from any public right-of-way or neighboring property at ground level". Prohibits the accumulation of "Junk" on any property for more than 30 days.
- Any worn-out, wrecked, scrapped, partially or fully dismantled or discarded tangible materials.
- Scrap metal, scrap lumber, pipe, concrete blocks, wire, rope, or similar discarded materials, this includes chemicals and construction debris.
- Broken, discarded, or non-functional appliances, furniture, mattresses, televisions, electronics, or household fixtures.
- Building materials (lumber, roofing, siding, bricks, etc.) not being used for a permitted construction project on the premises.
- Yard waste including grass clippings, tree and shrub branches and bags of leaves not being used for the purpose of composting.
- Accumulations of rubbish, trash, or waste materials not contained in approved refuse containers; includes used oil left in containers.
- Any other discarded, dilapidated, or unusable items or materials that create a condition of blighting, deterioration, or unsightliness.
