A Salute to Women in the Military
On Saturday, June 3, from 1:00-2:00 pm, the Eagle Historical Society in Eagle, Wisconsin will host “A Salute to Women in the Military” at our beautiful Veterans Memorial next to the EHS Museum on Main Street. Hear the stories of women like Aurel Baker Pardee, a Red Cross nurse in WWI, and others who provided aid to our military throughout American history. Tap your feet to music spanning the decades from our own Kettle Moraine Blues.
Our museum will be open for viewing a traveling exhibit from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum designed to increase awareness and generate dialogue about the role of women veterans and our featured guest speaker is, Alli Chase from the Alice Baker Library.
Refreshments will be served so bring a lawn chair along for an enlightening and enjoyable afternoon.
